Volunteer

Volunteers play a vital role in every facet of our services. Volunteers are AAO’s strength and AAO has Afghan and non-Afghan volunteers who contribute thousands of hours each year and share their talents to help us reach our goals. Through their contributions-administrative support, event planning and delivery translation, interpretation, graphic design, TV Program, resource persons, and fundraising support-volunteers learned new skills, made new connections and experienced personal achievement.

Our office has different kinds of Volunteer work such as Settlement support, Admin support, Math and Science tutor, Media and publication support, data entry, computer support, translation and interpretation, program assistance, and much more. We will do our best to match your skills, interest, availability and your preferred location with the volunteer task.

PURPOSE

  • To promote the concept of voluntarism in the Afghan community and to provide opportunities for the Afghan immigrants and refugees to participate in the labour market and strengthen their employment skills.
  • To develop key transferable skills that will help you to succeed in your chosen career and could open up new opportunities and challenges.
  • To add more to your CV and thus improve their job prospects and employability and volunteering is fun, fulfilling and a good opportunity to make new friends
